In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 6 November at 05:45 PM, approximately 30 so-called PDF terrorists attacked with drop bombs using a drone from Inntan Village onto a collective staff housing in Taungpyin Ward of Depayin Township, Sagaing Region. One of the drop bombs fell and exploded on a vacant ground within the staff housing compound. As a result of the explosion, 10 children; Mg Tin Htoo Aung (10 years old), Mg Thaw Zin Khant (11 years old), Mg Ye Zin Tun (6 years old), Mg Kaung Htet Myat (9 years old), Mg Myint Myat Aung Thu (9 years old), Ma Su Yati Lin (8 years old), Ma Yoon Yati Hmon (7 years old), Ma May Thu San Myint (6 years old), Ma Eidray Zin (12 years old) and Ma Yoon May Thaw (8 years old), who all live in this staff housing and were playing on the vacant ground at that time, sustained bomb shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with drop bombs using a drone onto the collective staff housing, resulting in injuries of children, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
