100-Household Elder Injured in Spear Attack by Two Unidentified Men in Ngaputaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region

     On 7 May 2025 at 2:30 AM, in Yae Twin Kone Village, Ngaputaw Township of Ayeyarwaddy Region, two unidentified men (still under investigation) attacked with spear, injuring a 100-household elder, it is reported.
     In the incident, at 2:30 AM, U Tint Wai (58 years old), son of U San Htway, a resident of the village, was sleeping at house with family when he heard someone calling from outside. When he went out to check, he was attacked by two masked men (identity under investigation) who stabbed him with spear before fleeing the scene. As a result, U Tint Wai sustained multiple injuries, including a slash wound on his left arm, another below the left armpit, a slash wound on his left shoulder, a stab wound in the abdomen and a slash wound on his right hand. U Tint Wai is currently receiving medical treatment at Kyoun Ku Station Hospital in Haing Gyi Kyun Town, in Ngaputaw Township, it is reported.
      In connection with the incident, Kyone Ma Ngay Local Police Station has opened a case (Criminal Case No. 19/2025) under Section 458 of the Penal Code against the unidentified perpetrators. Authorities are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for the attack on the 100-household elder, it is reported.
