In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 October at 03:00 PM, KIA members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists recklessly attacked with heavy weapons into Lonjonyan Village of Dotphoneyang Town in Momauk Township, Kachin State. The heavy weapon shells landed and exploded within the Village. As a result of the explosions, 12 living houses were burned and destroyed. Town Administraion department is currently relocated the civilians whose homes were destroyed to temporary shelters at the Baptist Church in Dotphoeyang Town, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who burned and destroyed residential houses by attacking with heavy weapons, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
