180 Residents’ Houses Burned and Damaged, Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon and Small Arm Attack by So-called PDF Terrorists in Kyauk Kan Village in Myingyan Township

     On 15 July, so-called PDF terrorists launched an attack using heavy weapons and small arms in Kyauk Kan Village, Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, it is reported.
     The incident occurred on 15 July, 2024 at 05:30 AM when a group of approximately 80 so-called PDF terrorists launched an attack using heavy weapons and small arms to the north and west sides of the village. The terrorists then entered the village and set fire to residents houses. In the aftermath of these attacks, 180 residents houses were burned and damaged. Additionally, Mg Min Thant Kyaw (18 years old) and a resident of the village, sustained injuries of the shrapnel and was transported to Myingyan Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     With the intent to instill fear in the general public and people who merely desire their peaceful livings in the rural areas of Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region, the so-called PDF terrorist groups deliberately fired heavy weapons and small arms into the villages and burned down the houses. Security personnel joining hands with local people are taking the measures of suppressing the terrorists as per protocals to restore peace, stabilily and rule of law in the areas, it is reported.
