In order to cause casualties of peaceable people and administrative authorities who are working for restoring rule of law, extreme terrorists receiving financial assistance are carrying out destructive activities against public roads, streets and departmental offices with homemade bombs and mines.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 May at 04:30 PM, according to the report that an explosion occurred in Takhuntaing Ward of Pyigyidagun Township in Mandalay Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that a male terrorist (under scrutiny) arrived on a motorcycle near the house of Ko Aung Naing Htwe, 26 years old, (Father) U Win Naing, who lives in this Ward, and threw a homemade bomb before fleeing. The bomb fell and exploded inside a home-based shop belonging to Ko Aung Naing Htwe, causing damage to a MYD 60W/xxxx motorcycle and 15 zinc roofs of the house. Additionally, a homemade mine with a circuit inside a sound-box and a homemade mine with a circuit inside a suspected motorcycle’s tool box, which were planted by a terrorist group and were found near the scene. Security personnel seized, cleared and diffused the mines, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism from the above incident in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with laws.
