Innocent Civilians Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack on Village by Insurgents Committing Terrorists Activities

   Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 14 August, 2024 at 9:10 AM, security personnel received a report stating that a woman and a child with shrapnel injuries had arrived at Ma Dauk Station Hospital in Nyaunglebin Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Daw Shwe Ei (aka) Thet Thet Mar (35 years old) and her niece, Ma Phu Pwint Wai, (three years old) both residents of Bu Tar Su Village in Nyaunglebin Township. The incident occurred at 9:00 AM, on the same day when a group of KNU members who support terrorism, along with so-called PDF terrorists fired heavy weapons into Bu Tar Su village. The shells exploded within the village, causing shrapnel injuries to the victims, it is reported. 
    Due to the heinous acts of armed insurgents and terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
