A Buddhist nun, two males and five females were injured, while a vehicle was destroyed due to the so-called PDF terrorists detonated homemade mines on a passenger vehicle carrying innocent civilians in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 30 June at 10:30 AM, an MDY-1J/xxxx BANGO vehicle from “Shwethalar” Express, driven by Ko Thet Naing Phyo, 32 years old (Father) U Than Zaw, who lives in Phulon Village, accompanied by vehicle helper Mg Zaw Phyo Naing, 15 years old (Father) U Win Maung, who lives in the same village, was carrying the passengers. The vehicle was traveling from Mandalay city to Yesagyo Town. When they arrived near a bridge located at the entrance of Ngayan Village of Chaung-U Township, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) detonated five homemade mines. As a result of the explosions, the windshields and body parts of the vehicle were damaged. Furthermore, a Buddhist nun Daw Pyinnyarwadi (aka) Ma Myat Noe (14 years old), driver Ko Thet Naing Phyo, vehicle helper Mg Zaw Phyo Naing, Daw Nyunt Shwe (53 years old), Daw Win Htay (52 years old), Daw Mar Mar Cho (aka) Khin Mar Cho (52 years old), Daw Htay Win (48 years old) and Ma Ei Khine (24 years old), who all were present in the vehicle during the attack, sustained injuries from mine shrapnel and were transported to the Chaung-U Township Public hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against the terrorists who blew up the passenger vehicle carrying innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
