A civil service personnel and a child were killed, and a child was injured as a result of the reckless firing of improvised rockets by so-called PDF terrorists towards the wards in Myaing Township, Magway Region.
The incident happened that, on 10 May at 09:00 PM, a group of 30 so-called PDF terrorists opened fire with improvised rockets from Kangyi Village towards the Wards in Myaing Township, Magway Region. The improvised rocket bombs exploded on the house of U Nyo Thin, 56 years old, (Father) U Maung Kyi, who lives in No. 3 Ward, and on the No.2 Basic Education High School in No.1 Ward of Myaing Town. The explosions resulted in the death of Daw Ei Mar Myint, a 30-year-old teacher from Magyikan Village’s Basic Education Primary School, and her son Mg Kyaw San Lin, 7 years old, who were both in the house of U Nyo Thin at the time. Additioinally, Daw Ei Mar Myint’s son Mg Zaw Wai Yan Oo, two months old (Father) U Ye Ko, sustained injuries. Moreover, 52 window glasses and 45 ceilings of the No. 2 Basic Education High School were destroyed, it is reported.
The injured child from the above incident was transported to the Myaing Township Public Hospital for medical treatment. Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire improvised rockets towards the Wards, where innocent civilians reside, resulted in causalities and injuries to a civil service personnel and children, as well as damages to a house and a school, as soonest in line with law, it is reported.
