A civil service personnel was killed, while two other civil service personnel sustained injuries due to the drop bombs attack using a drone carried out by so-called PDF terrorists towards a ward in Kyaukgyi Township

      In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 June at 09:45 AM, so-called PDF terrorists attacked with drop bombs using a drone towards Theintann Ward of Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region. The drop bombs fell and exploded near a window located behind the meeting hall within the Township General Administration Department Office compound in the Ward. As a result of the explosion, Township Agriculture Staff Officer U Maung Maung, 45 years old, Township Fire Services Department Staff Officer U Ni Htay, 44 years old, and a postman U Chit Wai Zaw, who all were present in the office during the attack, sustained bomb shrapnel injuries and were transported to the Kyaukgyi Township Public hospital for medical treatment. However, U Maung Maung was dead from his injuries while being transported to the hospital, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against the terrorists who recklessly attacked with drop bombs using a drone towards a Ward where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
