Security personnel reached the scene around 07:15 AM, and managed to fight the fire by 08:00 AM. As a result of the blaze, 16 houses were burned and destroyed. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents, it is reported.
Similarly, at approximately 03:30 PM, a group consisting of collaboration between KKO (Splinter Group) and so-called PDF terrorists arrived and set fire to houses in No. (7) Ward of Kawkareik Town before retreating towards the northern side of the Ward. Security personnel reached the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. Twelve houses were burned and destroyed as a result of the blaze, it is reported.
Likewise, on 27 December around 04:00 PM, a group consisting of collaboration between KKO (Splinter Group) and so-called PDF terrorists arrived and once again set fire to houses in No. (7) Ward of Kawkareik Town. The blaze led to the burning and destruction of Four houses, it is reported.
Hence, local residents have begun protesting against the terrorists responsible for burning down the homes of innocent people, leaving them homeless. Security personnel are actively engaged in implementing necessary measures to restore and maintain peace and tranquility in the area, it is reported.
