In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 14 October at 07:30 AM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly attacked with a drop bomb using a drone onto Myothar (east) Village of Ngazun Township in Mandalay Region. The bomb landed and exploded on the roadside of the Myothar-Ngazun Road located in front of the house of U Aye Chan Win who lives in this Village. As a result of the explosion, U Aye Chan Win’s son, Mg Shwe Htet Win (9 months old) who was seated in front of the house sustained an injury from bomb shrapnel and is currently receiving medical treatment at the Mandalay Public Hospital, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:30 AM, so-called PDF terrorists wantonly attacked with a drop bomb using a drone from Myatnikwin Village side onto Paukkone Village of Oktwin Township in Bago Region. The bomb struck and exploded on the roof of the garage located beside the U Win Htay’s house in the Village. As a result of the explosion, the zinc roof of the garage was damaged, while U Myint Kyaw (65 years old) who lives in this Village and was working near the garage, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel to his face, left and right legs. He is currently receiving medical care at the Nyaungchayhtauk Circuit Hospital, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who wantonly attacked with drop bombs using drones onto Villages where innocent civilians reside, aiming to injure innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
