A patient ward, which is a state-owned building, within the Township public hospital compound was damaged as a result of the reckless firing with improvised rockets by so-called PDF terrorists towards a Ward in Wetlet Township

In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 17 June at 03:50 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire with improvised rockets towards No. (1) Ward in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. The attack was initiated from Myintaw Village, located approximately one mile east. Two projectiles from the improvised rockets detonated upon landing inside a Basic Education High School compound, while another projectile exploded on the main patient ward within the Township public hospital compound. As a result of the explosions, 12 zinc roofs, two ceilings and three windshields of the main patient ward were damaged, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with improvised rockets towards Wards where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
