In various States and Regions, armed insurgents who support terrorism, as well as so-called PDF terrorist groups, have been conducting terrorist activities targeting non-military entities. These activities encompass detonating explosives on public roads and bridges, attacking wards, villages, schools, and public areas, dropping bombs, engaging in heavy arms fire, employing improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas populated by innocent civilians, like wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 9 January at 11:50 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group recklessly dropped bombs using a drone during the 2023-2024 year Education Plenary Festival held for teachers, students’ parents, and students at the Yadanawin hall within the Sub Basic Education High School in Tangartaung Village of Madaya Township, Mandalay Region. The bombs exploded approximately three feet outside the fence in front of the school. Fortunately, there were no injuries or damage to people or buildings, it is reported.
Security personnel are conducting an investigation into the incident to pursue punitive measures against the terrorists responsible for dropping bombs using a drone during the Education Plenary Festival as mentioned earlier. This action is in accordance with the law and is aimed at upholding stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
