It is found that extremist terrorist insurgents are engaging in acts of terrorism with the intention of causing harm to both peaceful civilians and administrative officials who work in law enforcement.
The incident occurred that, on 24 July at 12:30 PM, according to the report that an explosion had occurred on the concrete Road in front of the timber production office in Minyat Kwatthit in No. (5) Ward of Shwebo Township in Sagaing Region, security personnel went to the scene and conducted an inspection. According to the investigation, it is found that a male terrorist (currently under scrutiny) had been carrying a homemade mine in the tool box of his motorcycle, with the intention of attempting a terrorist bombing attack. Unfortunately, the homemade mine detonated prematurely. As a result of the explosion, the male terrorist sustained injuries from the mine shrapnel, however, he died while receiving medical treatment in Shwebo District Public Hospital, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are opening an inquest file on his death in accordance with police procedures.
