A school guard died in an explosion while attempting to plant mines inside No. (3) Basic Education Middle School located in Yangyiaung Ward of Ye Town, Mon State, it is reported.
The incident occurred that on 27 November at 00:50 AM, according to the report that a -two story teaching building with four attached rooms located within No. (3) Basic Education Middle School in Yangyiaung Ward of Ye Town caught fire due to an explosion. A collaborative team including security personnel and fire service department personnel, promptly arrived at the scene with a fire fighter vehicle to extinguish the fire, which took approximately 10 minutes to put out. The fire resulted in slight damage to a water purifier and the ceilings of the building's second floor. Additionally, Zin Min Lat (36 years old), who lived in Aungmyittar Ward of Ye Town, was found dead with an opened abdomen injury, severed left/right arm, left thigh, right calf near the water purifier. Moreover, security personnel discovered an unexploded homemade remote mine beneath his abdomen, which they safely disarmed and seized, it is reported.
Security personnel transported the deceased body of Zin Mim Lat, who was died in an explosion while attempting to plant a device in the children’s studying teaching building, to the Ye District Public Hospital for further examination and are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who were involved with Zin Min Lat, as soonest in accordance with the law, it is reported.
