A woman was injured and some residential houses were damaged due to recklessly fire with homemade mortars by so-called PDF terrorists towards innocent residential Wards in Ye-U Township

      In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
      Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 25 June at 03:10 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) indiscriminately fired homemade mortars towards various wards in Ye-U Township, Sagaing Region. One mortar shell landed and detonated on the roof of “Hein” petrol station next to the Ye-U-Tasei road in Shwepyithar Ward. Additionally, another mortar shell fell and exploded in front of “Moeyan” lottery shop, while another landed and exploded on the roof of U Win Kyaw Oo’s house in Aungchanthar Ward. Yet another mortar shell fell and exploded near the house of U Than Tun in Aungmingalar Ward. As a result of the explosions, the concrete roof of “Hein” petrol station, a zinc roof, and two window panes of U Win Kyaw Oo’s house were damaged. The sheet of zinc surrounding U Than Tun’s house fence of was also affected. Furthermore, the younger sister of U Win Kyaw Oo, Daw Aye Thandar Win, 35 years old (Father) U Nyunt Win, sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel, it is reported.
      Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly fire with mortars towards Wards where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
