Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

    In some townships across States and Regions, so-called PDF terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 26 September, 2024 at 12:15 PM, a report stated that a man was found dead with gunshot wounds along a drain near Pauk Taw Village in Paung Township of Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Ko Nga Phyo (23 years old), a resident of Tagon Taing Village in Paung Township. He had been shot dead by a so-called PDF terrorist group. The dead body was transported to Yin Nyein Station Hospital in Yin Nyein Taung Village for examination, it is reported.
    Similarly, at 12:50 PM, a report stated that three men were shot dead in Inn Wyne Village, Pakokku Township of Magway Region. Upon investigation by security personnel, the victims were identified as U Aung Nay (under investigation), U Phoe Chal (under investigation) and U Aung Lin (under investigation), all residents of the village. While the victims were at their respective houses, a so-called PDF terrorist group opened fire on them accusing them of being “Decoys”. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
    Similarly, at 5:40 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds had arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Ko Han Wai Kyaw (19 years old), a resident of Nay Yit Za Ya Village in Patheingyi Township. When the victim was returning home from Madaya Town on his motorcycle along the Mandalay-Madaya Road, three so-called PDF terrorists, following him on another motorcycle, opened fire near Nandar (South) Village, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
    Similarly, at 7:15 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Aung San Ward, Insein Township of Yangon Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Zaw Min Tun (52 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the ward. When the victim was at a salad shop along the road in front of Aung San market in the ward, two so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
    Similarly, at 7:30 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Mwe Gyi Twin Village, Paungde Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Tin Oo (52 years old), a resident of the village. When the victim was at his house, three so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
    Similarly, on 27 September, at 9:00 AM, a report stated that a man and a child were shot dead in Goke Gyi Village, Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Phoe Kyaw (aka) Kyaw Hmat (48 years old) and his four-year-old daughter, Ma Wu Han Kyaw, both residents of the village. When the victims were heading to the Goke Gyi Taw Ya Monastery to offer alms rice, a so-called PDF terrorist group, opened fire on them. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
    Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
