Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 31 July, 2024 at 9:15 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by stabbing and gunfire in Hlwa Sin Kone Village, Paukkhaung Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Nyunt Thaung (aka) Nyo Thaung (60 years old), a resident of the village. While he was at his home, three so-called PDF terrorists arrived by two motorcycles, stabbed and shot him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 12:30 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Myin Thal Village, Tada-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Phyo Maung Maung (35 years old), a resident of the village. While he was at his home with U Khin Maung Yin, also a resident of the village, four so-called PDF terrorists arrived by two motorcycles, opened fire on him, and then fled. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 1:40 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Pal Ka Toe Ward, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Myo Min Naing (51 years old), a resident of the ward. While he was at his home-based motorcycle repair work shop, six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took the victim’s black color JIALING Super Cub motorbike before fleeing, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
