In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civillians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civillians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 11 November, 2024 at 9:40 AM, a report stated that two men were shot and stabbed to death in Sat Khin Gyi Village, Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Village Administrator U Tin Tun Moe (54 years old) and U Tun Myint Shwe (52 years old) both residents of the village. The victims were at their respective houses when approximately 10 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by five motorcycles, opened fire and stabbed them. Both victims died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took three mobile phones from U Tin Tun Moe’s house and a Mitsubishi FUSO Canter Truck (License Plate No. MDY 2J/XXXX), a Click 125 motorcycle, a Click 160 motorcycle, four mobile phones from U Tun Myint Shwe’s house, it is reported.
Similarly, on 12 November, 2024 at 7:00 AM, a report stated that a man was stabbed to death in Kone Paw Nat Village, Kyaukpadaung Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Aung Soe (57 years old) a resident of the village. The victim was at his house when five so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles and stabbed him, accusing him of being a “Decoy/ Informant”. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
