Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across the States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials, and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 31 May, 2024 U Nyunt Soe (51 years old), a 100-household elder and a resident of Wet Toe (Ywar Ma) Village in Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region, was leaving his home for Pyay Town by motorcycle. At around 4:50 PM. when he arrived on the road located between Shwe Ku Village and Khyot Pin Wyne Village, six so-called PDF terrorists who were awaiting him, opened fire and stabbed him with knives. Consequently, U Nyunt Soe died on the spot from gunshot and knife injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at around 8:30 PM, security personnel received a report stating that a woman was injured by gunfire in Ma Khyee Kyat Village in Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that while Daw Mya Thin Kyu (43 years old), a resident of the village, was at her house, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on her before fleeing. Consequently, Daw Mya Thin Kyu sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Ngazun Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security Personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the casualties administrative official and innocent civilian in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
