Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views 'anyone with differing views is an enemy' are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist activities. Employing firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassination after accusing them as 'spies, informants or decoys'. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since such terrorist acts are being conducted, on 12 May, 2024 at 3:00 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Bant Pyin Village, Minhla Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that U Shwe Wa ( 53 years old) village elder responsible for 100 households, was in his house when six so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles and detained him. Later, at an intersection near the village entrance to the east, he was killed by gunfire. As a result, U Shwe Wa died from gunshot wounds, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 11:40 AM on the same day, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Nyaung Yawe Village, Kyaukse Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that U Myo Myint ( 71 years old)village elder responsible for 10 households, was at the “Htay Htay” barber shop in the village when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle. They opened fire on U Myo Myint and then fled the scene. As a result, U Myo Myint died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 12:40 PM on the same day, a report stated that a woman was injured by gunfire in Eastern Ward, Paungtale Town, Pyay Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was discovered that Daw Moe Moe Khine (44 years old), a resident of the ward, was working in her betel shop located next to the Paungtale-Paukkhaung Road when two so-called PDF terrorists, arrived on a motorcycle. They opened fire on Daw Moe Moe Khine and then fled the scene. As a result, she suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Pyay Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilian in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
