Administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by armed insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies', 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 March at 12:45 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Makyikyat Village, Ngazun Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Win Zaw Oo (45 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when four so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Win Zaw Oo died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 1:25 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Lankhwa Village, Namatee Town, Mogaung Township, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Khun Jaw Li (46 years old), who lived in the village, was at his “JAN GA Computer & Store” shop when three terrorists from the KIA armed insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, U Khun Jaw Li died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:55 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Kuphyu Village, Myitthar Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Mg Thiha Htway (18 years old) and Mg Arkar Kyaw (18 years old), who both live in the village, were riding a motorcycle from Myitthar Town to Kuphyu Village. Upon reaching the entrance road to Kuphyu Village, two so-called PDF terrorists, who were following them on another motorcycle, opened fire before fleeing the scene. As a result, Mg Arkar Kyaw died from gunshot injuries. Fortunately, Mg Thiha Htway did not sustain any injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, on 19 March at 5:45 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Pyinpon Village, Nattalin Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Win Soe (56 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when five so-called PDF terrorists arrived on three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Win Soe died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 9:00 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Pakhattie Village, Salin Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that on 18 March at 10:30 PM, the village administrator, U Myint Htoo (49 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when seven so-called PDF terrorists, detained him. Later, near Salin Creek, these terrorists opened fire on U Myint Htoo. As a result, U Myint Htoo died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
