In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 20 March at 5:10 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near Got Village, Thaton Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Win Tun (aka) Wiki Larmar (27 years old), who lived in Kyonpar Village, was riding his motorcycle from Kyonpar Village to Thaton Town. As he approached the road leading to the Computer University, a member of the KNU, who supports terrorism, and a so-called PDF terrorist, opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. As a result, Ko Win Tun (aka) Wiki Larmar died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 8:30 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Michaungtet Village, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a 100-household elder U Thaung Tun (46 years old), who lived in the village, was at his home when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived opened fire on him. As a result, U Thaung Tun died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 9:00 PM, a report stated that two men were killed by gunfire near Oakshitkone Village, Yenangyoung Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Tin Win (49 years old) and U San Naing (50 years old), who both lived in Oakshitkone Village, were on their way home from Yenangyoung Town on a motorcycle. Near Phaungkwal Creek, they were shot by a so-called PDF terrorists, which also robbed their two mobile phones and motorcycle. As a result, U Tin Win and U San Naing died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
