Administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies', 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 19 March at 12:30 PM, a report stated that a man was killed and another was injured by gunfire in Htanlonetat Village, Tada-U Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Chit Zaw Oo (26 years old), a junior assistant teacher at the Branch of Basic Education High School (Htanlonetat) and a resident of the village, was cycling from north to south along the main village road when two so-called PDF terrorists arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, Ko Chit Zaw Oo died from gunshot injuries. Additionally, the terrorists went to Ko Chit Zaw Oo’s house and opened fire on his father, U Zaw Win Myint (61 years old), before fleeing. As a result, U Zaw Win Myint sustained injuries from gunshot wounds and was transported to Kyaukse Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 1:00 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Thapyaytone Village, Paukkhaung Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Thein Zaw (50 years old), who lived in the village, was laying planks in the village’s monastery when five so-called PDF terrorists arrived and detained him by tying his hands behind his back. Subsequently, the terrorists took him to a location beneath a tree approximately 50 yards west of the monastery, where they opened fire on U Thein Zaw. As a result, U Thein Zaw died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 7:45 PM, Naypukone Village Group Administrator U Maung Pu (60 years old), who lived in Theekone Village, Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region, was riding alone on his motorcycle from Wundwin Town to Theekone Village. Upon reaching a wayside public rest-house located between Phayarsu Village and Theekone Village, a terrorist, opened fire on him before fleeing the scene. As a result, U Maung Pu died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
