In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 March at 12:00 PM, a report stated that a woman with gunshot wounds arrived at Mandalay Public Hospital in Haymarzala Ward, Chanayetharzan Township, Mandalay Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Daw Khin Myat Moe (40 years old), who lives in Palaltan Village, Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region, was leaving her home on her motorcycle for Arlakapa Village along the Myinmu-Chaung-U Road to sell goods. As she was passing between Wunpyae Village and Arlakapa Village, a so-called PDF terrorists opened fire on her before fleeing the scene. As a result, Daw Khin Myat Moe sustained gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 5:15 PM, a report stated that a man and a woman were killed, and three other men were injured by gunfire in Sintal Village, Daik-U Township, Bago Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Moe Min Oo (43 years old) and Ma Kay Thwal Moe (35 years old), who both lived in Zalotegyi Village, Daik-U Township, along with Ko Kyaw Bo Bo Htut (23 years old) and Ko Kyaw Kyaw (25 years old), who both live in Doetan Village, and Ko Wine Aung (23 years old), who lives in Dayalme Ward, Daik-U Town, were working within the yard of Ko Aung Naing Win, who lives in the village. At this time, a so-called PDF terrorist arrived and opened fire on them before fleeing the scene. As a result, U Moe Min Oo and Ma Kay Thwal Moe died from their gunshot injuries, while three other men including Ko Kyaw Kyaw sustained gunshot injuries. The deceased and injured were transported to Daik-U Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
