Administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists using guns and knives

     In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers “Anyone with differing views is an enemy” are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being “spies, informants or decoys” to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 15 April, 2024 at 6:30 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Shawtaung Village, Natmauk Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Nange-Latkhotpin Village Group Administrator, U Bo Tun (47 years old) who lived in the village, was in his house when a so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him. As a result, U Bo Tun died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 6:35 AM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in Thalkone Village, Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Kyaw Aung (56 years old) who lives in the village, was heading to the “Maharbawdidamathukha” monastery in the village. As he neared the monastery, a so-called PDF terrorist who had been waiting for him opened fire. As a result, U Kyaw Aung sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Ah-Htaung Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 1:45 PM, Ward Administrator, U Lin Aung (32 years old) who lived in Tinteak Ward, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, was riding his motorcycle alone along the Monywa-Mandalay Road. As he neared the “Thitsarshin” rattan equipment shop, a terrorist opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Lin Aung died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 5:00 PM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire in Balu (Myohaung) Village, Mohnyin Township, Kachin State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Ko Hein Kyaw Oo (22 years old) who lives in the village, was present near the “Phayargyi” Lake when a so-called PDF terrorist, arriving on a motorcycle, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, Ko Hein Kyaw Oo sustained gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 9:10 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Sal Village, Yenangyoung Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Yonekone Village Group Administrator, U Yar Tin (51 years old) who lived in the village, was at his home when six so-called PDF terrorists on four motorcycles arrived and opened fire on him. Additionally, the terrorists robbed three mobile phones, two gold necklaces, two gold bracelets, MMK 400 lakhs stored inside a box, and two motorcycles. As a result, U Yar Tin died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative officials and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
