Administrative officials and innocent civilians were killed by so-called PDF terrorists using knives and guns

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 April, 2024 at 7:40 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Hlantin Village, Aunglan Township, Magway Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that Village Group Administrator, U Aye Sint (66 years old), who lived in the village, was at U Zaw Moe’s funeral house when six so-called PDF terrorists arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Aye Sint died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the abovementioned cases, it is reported.
