Administrative officials were shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 18 April, 2024 at 6:10 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Nothern Ward, Kyaikto Township, Mon State. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. As a result, U Aung Kyaw died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
