An administrative official was killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies', 'informants' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 4 April at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire near Aungmyanmar Village, Kawthoung Township, Tanintharyi Region. Security personnel promptly arrived at the scene and conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that a 100-household elder, U De Par (46 years old), who lived in the village, was attacked while returning home on his motorcycle from his oil-palm plantation near the village. As he approached the village, he was shot by a so-called PDF terrorist group, who fled the scene. As a result, U De Par succumbed to his gunshot wounds, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing and assassination of an innocent civilian in the abovementioned case, it is reported.
