An Armed Insurgent Group Supporting Terrorism and So-Called PDF Terrorists Blew Up a Mytel Telecommunication Tower in Hpa-an Township

     Some of the state-owned and private communication towers were built and installed to facilitate telecommunication and information flow among people were set fire and destroyed by political extremists who oppose social development and stability of the people in the country. It has been found that acts of terrorism include arson and explosive attacks are carried out on communication towers.
     On 25 May at 10:45 AM, an armed insurgent group supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists detonated a Mytel telecommunication tower installed inside a rubber farm owned by U Saw Tun Myint Than, 47 years old, (Father) U Nyein Shwe, which was located approximately 100 yards east of the Kyauktalone-Mikayin road in Tharyargon Village of Hpa-an Township, Kayin State. As a result of the explosion, a generator, an IPS cabinet machine box, 20 roofs of building where communication devices are placed and approximately 10 feet of the iron filter tower fence were damaged, causing communication to be interrupted, it is reported.
     Responsible officials are now repairing the damaged tower, and security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the perpetrators who blew up a telecommunication Tower as soonest in accordance with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
