     An electrical engineer was killed, and a Buddhist monk and another man were injured in a wanton small arms attack by so-called PDF terrorists in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region.
    The incident occurred that, on 21 April at 04:40 PM, a Mark II motor vehicle with license plat No. RLG/6826 driven by Ko Aye Soe, 25 years old, (Fathers) U Aung Kyaing, who lives in Seinpankyin Village of Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, was carrying Bhante U Zawana, 64 years old, 44 years as a monk (Father) U Phoe. Another light truck motor vehicle with license plate No. MDY 8M/3369 driven by electric technician (3) U Kyaw Aung, 52 years old (Father) U Saw Maung from Natogyi Township Electric Office, was carrying Deputy Township Electrical Engineer U Ye Win Zaw, 30 years old (Father) U Maung Ko, electric technician (5) U Htet Lin Ko, 31 years old (Father) U Myint Shwe, electric technician (5) U Kyaw Lin Tun, 33 years old (Father) U Than Tun, part-time worker U Ye Min San, 31 years old (Father) U Yar Thein and part-time worker U Than Lin, 26 years old (Father) U Kyi Maung. These vehicles were travelling along the Natogyi-Myingyan Road. When they arrived between mile-post number 13/1 and 13/2 located between Tharyarkon Village and Shawphyu Village, approximately 15 members of the so-called PDF terrorist shot at them with small arms. As a result, Deputy Township Electrical Engineer U Ye Win Zaw was dead at the scene from gunfire injuries, while U Aye Soe and Bhante U Zawana sustained gunfire injuries and were transported to the Natogyi Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security force members continue necessary measures to identify and arrest the terrorists responsible for the attack, causing causality and injuries of Buddhist monk and civil service personnel, as soonest in line with laws and to maintain security and peace in the region, it is reported.
