In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 5 June at 04:00 AM, an armed insurgent group (total number-under scrutiny), dressed in civilian clothing, infiltrated No. (12) Ward in Lashio Township, Shan State (Northern), and initiated gunfire using a shoulder-mounted RPG launcher twice from a location near Kanmain monastery. The RPG projectiles struck and detonated at a tree near Kanmain monastery and an electric pole adjacent to a road near the house of Daw Yin Yin, 37 years old, (Father) U Yan Chit Lone, who lives in this Ward. As a result of the explosions, the front windshield of a Honda Fit motor vehicle with license plate number (under scrutiny), an electric pole, and four windshield glasses of the house of Daw Yin Yin were destroyed, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number-under scrutiny) opened fire improvised rockets towards Kanni Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region. The attack was initiated from a forest approximately 700 meters southwest of the Village. Five rocket bombs fell and exploded, resulting in the death of Mg Chan Myae Thu, 12 years old, (Father) U Aung Khin, who lived in this Village, from rocket bomb shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Likewise, at 07:15 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire improvised rockets towards Minywar Village in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region. The attack was launched from a forest approximately 600 meters northwest of the Village. Three rocket bombs exploded outside of the Village, while another bomb exploded inside the Village, causing Daw Myint, 57 years old, (Father) U Thar Dat, who lives in this Village, to sustain injuries from bomb shrapnels, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incidents to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with a shoulder-mounted RPG launcher and improvised rockets towards the Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
The damages were caused by the firing of a shoulder-mounted RPG launcher in Lashio Township.
