An Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by KIA Armed Insurgents and So-called PDF Terrorists

     In respective States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 12 June, 2024 at 11:00 AM. A group of KIA armed insurgents, along with so-called PDF terrorists, fired heavy weapons into Thayat Chaung Village, Shwekyin Township of Bago Region. A heavy weapon shell exploded by the fence of a rubber plantation near the village. As a result, U Khaing Oo (43 years old) who was then making fence sustained injuries from shrapnel and were transported to Shwekyin Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Security personnel are conducting further investigations to take punitive action against the perpetrators of terrorists who conducted the heavy weapon attack into the village, and also taking security measures to restore stability and peace in the area, it is reported.
