In States and Regions, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating public roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 7 October at 05:00 PM, KNU members who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists wantonly attacked with heavy weapons into the Olympic Stone Manufacturing Industry compound located near Ywartanshay Village of Taungoo Township, Bago Region. One of the heavy weapon shells fell and exploded insied the compound. As a result of the explosion, Ma Ei Ei Hlaing Saw (13 years old), who lived in this compound, was dead from heavy weapon shell shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who attacked with heavy weapons, aiming to injure and dead innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
