An innocent civilian was injured as a result of the reckless and wanton firing of a heavy weapon by pro-violence members from the KNU and so-called PDF terrorists towards a village Htantabin Township, Bago Region.
The incident occurred that, on 30 April at 11:00 AM, pro-violence members from the KNU and so-called PDF terrorists recklessly opened fire a heavy weapon towards Bonematee Village in Htantabin Township, Bago Region. The heavy weapon’s bomb exploded in the house yard of U Soe Lwin, 48 years old, who lives in this Village, causing him to sustain bomb injuries. He was transported to the Zayatgyi Circuit Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire with a heavy weapon towards the Village, a non-military target, where innocent civilians live, as soonest in line with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
