An innocent civilian was injured in a reckless heavy weapon attack carried out by a collaborate group including members from KNU/KKO (a splinter group) who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists

     In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 21 September at 07:30 PM, a collaborate group including members from KNU/KKO (a splinter group) who support terrorism and so-called PDF terrorists recklessly attacked with heavy weapon towards No. (2) Ward of Kawkareik Township, Kayin State. During the attack, a heavy weapon shell landed and exploded in front of the house of U Zaw Zaw (42 years old), who lives in this Ward. As a result of the explosion, U Zaw Zaw sustained an injury from heavy weapon shell shrapnel. Additionally, the explosion caused damage, including the destruction of a 21-inch television screen and the breakage of glass in the Buddhist devotional shrine room inside the house, it is reported.
     Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly attacked with heavy weapon towards a Ward where innocent civilians reside, aiming to kill and injure innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
