In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 11 May at 08:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire improvised mortars and dropped bombs using drones towards No. 1 Ward in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region. A mortar bomb exploded on the house of U Khin Maung Yin, 72 years old, who lives in this Ward, and two drop bombs exploded on the house of Daw Thein Thein Myint, 56 years old, (Father) U So Gyi, who also lives in this Ward. As a result of the attack, the zinc roofs and bamboo wall mattings of U Khin Maung Yin’s house were destroyed, while Daw Thein Thein Myint and Daw Than Than Nwe, 48 years old, (Father) U Tun Kyaing, sustained bomb injuries. They were transported to the Wetlet Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 11:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) dropped a bomb using a drone on Taguntaing Village in Kyaukgyi Township, Bago Region. The bomb exploded on the house yard of U Kyaw Yin, 85 years old, (Father) U Par Maung, who lived in this Village. As a result of the explosion, U Kyaw Yin was dead at the scene from bomb injuries, while his child’s parent-in-law, Daw Nan Htaw, 71 years old, (Father) U War Mu, sustained bomb injuries. She was transported to the Taungoo District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Likewise, at 05:30 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) dropped a bomb using a drone on Kyaw Village in Minkin Township, Sagaing Region. The bomb exploded, causing U Win Maung, 62 years old, (Father) U Lu Hnit, who lives in this Village, to sustain bomb injuries. He was transported to a military hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating to take punitive action against those terrorists who recklessly opened fire with improvised mortars and dropped bombs towards the Wards and Villages, where innocent civilians live, as soonest in line with law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
