In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts against non-military targets. These acts include detonating roads and bridges, dropping bombs, firing heavy arms, using improvised mortars, and setting fire to residential houses in areas where innocent civilians reside, such as wards and villages.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 27 July at 07:10 PM, so-called PDF terrorists launched an attack by dropping four bombs using four drones on Yargyipyin Village of Pauk Township in Magway Region. Additionally, the terrorists opened fire improvised mortars five times from a hill situated northwest of the Village. The projectiles from improvised mortars landed and exploded outside the northern part of the Village, while the four dropped bombs landed and exploded within the Village. As a result of the drop bomb explosions, Mg Sithu Phyo, 13 years old, Grade 7, (Father) U Pyae Thein, was killed from shrapnel injuries on his head, it is reported.
Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire heavy weapons and dropped bombs using drones towards a Village, resulting in the death of an innocent student, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
