An innocent civilian was shot and killed by so-called PDF terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers “Anyone with differing views is an enemy” are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being “spies, informants or decoys” to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 April, 2024, at 6:30 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire in Thabyuchanung Village, Paung Township, Mon State. Security personnel conducted an inspection. During the investigation, it was found that U Naing Ba Htauk (78 years old) chairman of the Mon Unity Party, who lived in the village, was in his house when a terrorist arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, U Naing Ba Htauk died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently undertaking essential measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing and assassination of an innocent civilian in the abovementioned case, it is reported.
