An insurgent group and so-called PDF terrorists opened fire with small arms on a passenger vehicle carrying innocent civilians in Thaton Township, Mon State, resulting in injuries to a woman.
The incident happened that, on 30 May at 08:00 AM, a YGN-12 6M/XXXX NISSAN six-wheel motor vehicle driven by U Aye Win, 63 years old, along with a vehicle helper Ko Thant Zin Win, 24 years old, (Father) U Aye Win, and Ma Ju Ju, 23 years old, (Father) U Aung Min, who all live in no. (1/12) Ward of Hlaingthayar (East) Township, Yangon Region, was loading household relocation items from Bilin Township from Thaton Township, Mon State. When they reached a milepost between 131/1 and 131/2 of the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road located near Donwun Village of Thaton Township, an insurgent group and a so-called PDF terrorist group (under scrutiny) attacked using small arms, resulting in injuries to the passenger Ma Ju Ju. She was transported to the Thaton District Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security force members are continue taking necessary measures to take punitive legal actions against the terrorists, who recklessly attacked a passenger vehicle carrying innocent civilians, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
