In Kyainseikgyi Township of Kayin State, an insurgent group supporting terrorism blew up a mine targeting an electricity power substation aiming to interrupt the electricity.
The incident happened that, On 7 July at 08:20 AM, according to the report, it was indicated that an electricity power substation located in Mingalargone village of Kyainseikgyi Township in Kayin State caught fire due to an insurgent group supporting terrorism detonating a mine, resulting in its destruction. A collaborative team comprising security personnel and fire services personnel responded to the scene and worked together to extinguish the fire. The explosion caused the destruction of a 66/33 KV (30) MVA Main Transformer and its control building electrical equipment, a 66/11 KV (30) MVA Main Transformer (AG) and its control building electrical equipment, as well as window glasses and zinc roofs in the control building, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security forces are investigating the terrorists who blew up the electricity power substation in order to be able to take effective action in accordance with the law and carrying out necessary security measures to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
