In the Villages of Myaing Township, Magway Region, so-called PDF terrorists entering villages are disguising themselves as locals. They then are terrorizing the villagers, collecting extortion, threatening and coercing them, and even killing the locals who do not support them.
Since they are conducting such acts, according to the information tipped by the conscientious locals and villagers against terrorism that so-called PDF terrorists are staying and hiding their weapons, ammunitions, explosives and related items in the Magyikan and Kangyi villages of Myaing township, security personnel raided by surprise the villages to carry out further investigations and take actions in the morning of 18 April.
In Magyikan village, security personnel detained 10 males and 20 females who were presumed to be PDF terrorists or related to them for further investigations. Moreover, 10 assorted magazines, 18 assorted grenades, two 60-mm mortar rounds, three homemade grenades and drop-bombs, 780 rounds of various assorted bullets, communication set and relevant materials, 53 pairs of combat uniforms with the text ‘People Defence Force (Myaing)’, two bullet-proof vests, badges of Myaing PDF, a bunker, three different various type of vehicles and five different various type of motorcycle were found in seized in the rural dispensary village.
In Kangyi village, security personnel found and seized an improvised grenade, a Nissan vehicle, 15 different types of motorcycles in the Basic Education Primary School of the village.
It is reported that security force members will continue taking necessary security measures to ensure no PDF terrorists covertly living in Myaing township and to enforce laws in the township.
