Civil Servant Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Depayin Township of Sagaing Region

     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and spread fear. They are also indiscriminately planting landmines on public roads, targeting government offices with explosives and engaging in destructive acts without regard for reason or morality.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 12 July 2025 at 10:40 AM, a heavy weapon shell fired by a so-called PDF terrorist group exploded within the compound of Kone Thar Oo Monastery in Taung Pyin Ward, Depayin Township of Sagaing Region. As a result, Daw Thwal Thwal San (52 years old), an assistant engineer from the Depayin Township Development Committee and a resident of the ward, sustained shrapnel injuries. She is currently receiving medical treatment at a rural clinic in the ward, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
