In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies,” “informants,” or “decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 6 March, 2025 at 1:40 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Kan Gyi Kone Village, Taungwingyi Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Win Than(53 years old), a 100-household elder and resident of the village, was at his house when four so-called PDF terrorists arriving by two motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Win Than died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:50 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Thar Li Kar Village, Oakpho Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that U Myint Than (54 years old), a resident of the village, was at his house when six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by three motorcycles and opened fire on him. As a result, U Myint Than died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:55 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead and another was injured in Thu Kaung Ti Village, Naung-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that, Village Administrator U Tun Wai (57 years old) and his son, U Chit Min Thet (32 years old) both residents of the village, were at their house when six so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by three motorcycles, opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, U Tun Wai died on the spot, while U Chit Min Thet sustained gunshot wounds. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Nyaung-U District Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 9:00 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Ta Line Sin Village, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that, U Myo Win (55 Years Old) a senior assistant teacher at the Basic Education High School in Min Kon Village and resident of the village, was at his house when a so-called PDF terrorist faction, arriving by car, opened fire on him. As a result, U Myo Win died on the spot, it is reported.
Security Personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and the assassinations of civil servant, administrative officials and innocent civilian in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
