Civil Servants, Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 21 July, 2024 at 1:30 AM, a report stated that two men were shot dead in Win Kite Sho Village, Bago Township of Bago Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were a 100-household elder U Tin Aung Lwin (48 years old) and U Tun Tun Naing (47 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were in their respective houses, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and abducted them. Later, the terrorists took them to a jungle path near Salu Dam in the village, and then shot them to dead, it is reported.
Similarly, at 10:55 AM, a report stated that a man and a woman were shot dead in Moke Htaw Lay Village, Myitthar Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were Village Administrator U Khin Maung Win (71 years old) and his wife Daw Nyo Nyo (68 years old), both residents of the village. While the victims were at home, four so-called PDF terrorists arrived by two motorcycles and opened fire on them. As a result, the victims died on the spot, it is reported.
Similarly, at 3:30 PM, a report stated that a woman was injured by gunfire near Htan Gwa (South) Village in Natogyi Township. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Daw Naw Zar Hlaing (42 years old), head of the diagnostic laboratory department of Natogyi Township Public Hospital, a resident of No. (2) Ward in Natogyi Township. While the victim was returning home on her motorcycle from Pal Chat Village in Natogyi Township, two so-called PDF terrorists who were following her on a motorcycle, opened fire and robbed her motorcycle before fleeing. As a result, the victim sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to Natogyi Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of civil servants, administrative officials and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
