Five innocent civilians were killed, and three others were injured as a result of the reckless firing with improvised mortars and small arms by so-called PDF terrorists towards a Ward and Village in Myaing and Haka Townships

       In regions and states, insurgent groups supporting terrorism and so-called PDF terrorist groups have been carrying out terrorist acts by detonating roads and bridges, as well as dropping bombs and firing heavy arms on the non-military targets, such as Ward and Villages where innocent civilians reside.
       Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 13 June at 05:00 PM, a so-called PDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) recklessly opened fire with improvised mortars and small arms towards Thayakwa Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region. The attack was initiated from a forest approximately 300 meters northeast of the Village. 18 improvised mortar bombs landed and exploded within the Village. As a result, the Villagers; U Aung Hlaing (63 years old), U Kyi Sein (37 years old), U Maung Aye (35 years old), Daw Ngwe Tint (65 years old) and Daw Khar Kyi (62 years old) were dead from gunfire and mortar bomb shrapnel injuries. Additionally, U Kyaw Maung (40 years old) and Myat Lin (19 years old) sustained mortar bomb shrapnel injuries and were transported to the sub-rural health center, it is reported.
        Similarly, at 09:25 PM, the so-called CDF terrorist group (total number – under scrutiny) opened fire with three improvised mortars towards Zaythit Ward in Haka Township, Chin State. One of the mortar bombs landed and exploded on the roof of the house of U Htan Shein Mar, 30 years old (Father) U Har Htan, who lives in this Village, causing mortar bomb shrapnel injury to U Htan Shein Mar. He was transported to the Haka Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
       Security personnel are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who recklessly opened fire with improvised mortars and small arms towards a Ward and Village where innocent civilians reside, as soonest in accordance with the law and to maintain stability and peace in the region, it is reported.
