On 23 January, at around 10:00 AM, so-called PDF terrorists recklessly fired small arms at local residents who were cutting sugarcanes in a field approximately 2000 meters northeast of Zardi Village of Kambalu Township, Sagaing Region, it is reported.
As the report of the incident was received, local security personnel were promptly arrived around 11:00 AM, on the same day. Subsequently, they discovered that five males and one female had tragically lost their lives, while another male sustained injuries due to reckless gunfire by so-called PDF terrorists. The victims were in the process of cutting sugarcane at that time of the incident.
Security personnel were transported the deceased individuals and the injured person to the local clinic for further examination and medical treatment. Necessary security measures are being implemented in the vicinity of the incident, it is reported.
