On 3 May at 07:10 AM, security personnel were carrying out security measures near the villages in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region. When they arrived near Natyaekan Village, eight mortars (under scrutiny), 55 assorted homemade mines, 12 motorcycle battery pots, eight circuits, six Keypad phones, an approximately 15-yard wire coil, a quick fuse rope, a fuse and nine dry batteries were found and seized on the right and left sides of the Monywa_Chaung-U _Myinmu Road, it is reported.
It has been reported that security personnel systematically seized and cleared homemade mines, arms and related materials found in the above case, and are now taking necessary measures to restore community peace and stability in the area in accordance with laws.
