On 8 May at 08:45 AM, Security personnel discovered and seized 20 homemade mines, a battery pot and an approximately 100 yards wire, which were planted by so-called PDF terrorists, near Taungpon Village of Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, it is reported.
Likewise, at 09:15 AM, 10 assorted homemade mines and 3 battery pots which were planted by so-called PDF terrorists, were found and seized beside the road between Chaung-U Town and Natyaekan Village located on the Chaung-U – Monywa Road in Chaung-U Township, it is reported.
It has been reported that security personnel systematically seized and cleared homemade guns and related materials found in the above cases, and are now taking necessary measures to restore community peace and stability in the area in accordance with laws.
