On 27 May at 02:00 PM, while security personnel carried out security measures on the Monywa-Chaung-U Road located between Ma-U Village and Kutawpalin Village in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, they found and seized nine homemade mines, four motorcycle battery pots, two twisted wire coils, three nylon rope and two rocket buttons, which were planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group near the old, overweight checkpoint. Additionally, 26 homemade mines and a 40mm bomb, which were planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group at the left side of the road located near Kutawpalin Village, were found and seized, it is reported.
It has been reported that security personnel systematically seized and cleared homemade guns and related materials found in the above cases, and are now taking necessary measures to restore community peace and stability in the area in accordance with laws.
